Jefferson Bowl (due west of Mt. Sawtelle)

This was taken at the top of Mt. Sawtelle, approximately 9,660 elevation. The top of Mt. Jefferson is about 9,500 elevation. The Idaho/Montana state line cuts across the top of Mt. Jefferson. In fact, I think beyond this entire ridgeline is the state of Montana.

Mt. Sawtelle, as you know, is a famous landmark in the Island Park area. It can even be seen clearly from some points in Yellowstone. You get extra credit if you leave a comment that states the location along one of the park roads where Mt. Sawtelle can be seen.

Well honey, I think the hint gives it away. But I will whisper it in your ear and see if I am right. :)

Sawtelle Peak? Wait, are we guessing what we're looking at or where the picture was taken from? Or is it basically the same place?

I'm thinking that we're possibly looking at Lionshead, but it's from a different angle than I'm used to seeing it at so I'm not positive.

I was going to say Lions Head too. Picture taken from Sawtelle. Wherever it is, I am pretty sure I have snowmobiled there.
P.S. Steve, Do you want to go shooting with us? Matt and Mitch got new handguns. Hopefully my dad will come down one of these weekends!
